Are smartphone apps really helpful in making life easier or just hyped by e-marketers?

Hey look, I have downloaded 15 new apps on my smartphone?

Every day we heard these statements by some of our friends. Smartphone apps are not only famous, but they are downloaded in a huge number. According to a press release from Apple, 800 apps are downloaded per second and around 50 billion apps are downloaded per month by the users.
Meanwhile, Google Play has reported 20 billion apps downloaded per months, according to the Android authority news.
People are downloading so many apps each day but here a question arise?

Are apps helpful in making life easier or just hyped by e-marketer?

Apps are not hyped by e-marketer as people also review and rate these apps as per their liking or disliking. They used these apps to perform different daily tasks and solve their problems. For instance, a large number of students use dictionaries, mathematics and many other apps related to their studies. Women use different apps of beauty tips, cooking recipes and shopping stores.  Men use various apps of games, Social Media and online TV channels.

In fact, Apps are now popular in Corporate world also. Human Resource
Management and Administration Departments of many organizations are using attendance tracking apps. Many professors at the universities are taking attendance of students by a classroom attendance tracking app. I was stunned to realize that the Mobile attendance system is too common in corporate world now.

To conclude, Apps are really helpful in making life easier. E-marketers are not boosting apps. Many companies are now interested in developing apps. It was proven by china also. As with Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) of 2014, China has decided to invest $3 billion on apps. So, apps are not hyped by e-marketers. These are designed to provide comfort for peoples.
